First of all, we are NOT...Real Estate agents. OK, so we were 30 years
ago
in another country and time. We were also carpenters and cabinet
and furniture makers and designers of living spaces. We were general
contractors and roofing contractors and landscape and even interior
designers at some level depending upon our clients´needs.  We have
developed and  worked on projects for communities and in support of
environmental causes and sustainable resource use and development
in Latin America since the late 80´s. In fact, that is what we are
mostly about and involved in now. More on our current efforts a little
later....
What then are we doing selling, and managing properties and projects if indeed we are not "Real
Estate Agents" per se? We consider ourselves facilitators of lifestyle choices which contribute not
only to the lives and economic well-being of our sellers and buyers but also to the entire local
community in which we now live and work. We are creators and identifiers of ideas and projects and
jobs. We are innovators and managers and teachers...and humble students 100% of the time ... of
the entire process. We are translators not only of language but of goals and dreams and
possibilities. We help to bring people together from disparate cultures and experiences and, many
times certainly, world views. We identify and respect differences but work indefatigably to find and
develop the commonalities to the benefit of all those involved not only in the moment but indeed,
over the long haul. A drop in the proverbial "bucket" perhaps but a rewarding and compelling one
nonetheless.
We are Ex Pats and Mexican citizens. As Ex Pats, our native language and culture derives from
English and American and European roots. With over 20 years experience living , working, and
traveling in at least 9 Latin American countries (6 years in Mexico) we now have both the
linguistic and...the cultural skills, and experience to help our friends and clients bridge the
linguistic cultural, experiential, and skill-set gaps that only time and determination and a sense
of adventure, patience, and often humor, with self will eventually make whole the experience of
living and functioning with finesse a well-earned and exceedingly worthwhile and  worthy life goal
realized here.  Is it in fact worth it? We think so but will have to leave that final decision up to you.
A little bit about us and what we hope
to offer you.........
Like many Ex Pats, we started out with a grand old colonial museum piece in Centro Merida. It´s a
gorgeous place, (
Click here to see it) a National Historical Monument even, and we love the house
and the gardens and the high beamed ceilings and marvelous pasta tile floors and the 5 functioning
bathrooms, and being 5 minutes walking distance to Parque and Mercado  Santa Ana, and 10
minutes from the main Zocalo and heart of Merida´s world famous "
Centro Historico " district. We
love the safety, security, and the within-walking-distance convenience of the whole zone and most
of Merida and the Yucatán as a whole.

Merida, as far as a city goes, and in fact the entire state of Yucatán, is indeed the safest place we
have visited or lived in ...anywhere on the planet,... including the States or Europe in over 40 years
of traveling and living abroad on at least 5 continents. Nevertheless, after 5 years in Merida´s
wonderful Centro we decided that for us there was more to the Yucatán than living in yet another,
if marvelous, big (and growing!) city.
Exploring the Yucatán. Regardless of your interests, you will find an almost endless source
of treasures and places and memories to cherish here in just this one state in this diverse and
history rich country called Mexico. The Yucatán will keep you occupied , enthralled even, if you let
it, for months and years and who know´s, several lifetimes if you believe in such things. Being here
for a while tends to get one thinking in ways, and about life, in ways that one may have never
considered "back home". Spend some time in the country and/or on the sea shore. Immerse
your...self in the history, culture, and nature of this wondrous place and let a few sunsets or
sunrises and cloud shows transport you then get back to us and let us know if you don´t agree?
Trust us though; it may not happen the first day or week or even month but given a chance, ...it
will happen, at least for a majority of us. And no worries if it doesn´t happen for you ...here.
Maybe your special place is some other place or...several other places. It´s all good!

I´d like to invite you to visit our other "Website in Progress": www.MayaNeem.org

It´s sort of our own personal "Next Chapter" and it may be your´s too, who knows ? It´s related to
this site because we started this site (
www.YucatánRanchFarmandHome.com) in order to fund
Maya Neem Farms and Intentional Community
. While we were looking for just the right local for
the project we have started "at the farm" we purchased recently, we met a lot of nice folks, many of
whom were interested in selling a property, usually a rancho or farm, a business, or waterfront
home or parcel, and so it occurred to us that it would be a logical next step and potential funding
source if we could help these good people hook up with other good folks within and without the
region and country. It´s working great so far and we hope you´ll join us if you are so inspired.
Meantime we´ll save further details for you on the other site although that site is also related to
this one because we are selling lots on what is fast becoming our eco-plantation and working
Farm/Rancho at
Maya Neem Farms. In short, we are creating a huge 255 - 600 acre " Eco-Park". I
say up to 600 acres because we have an option on another adjacent 340 acres ........

.......that will not only be self-funding and self-sustaining but, we are confident, will turn a
substantial profit for those involved as well as benefit greatly the local community near term and
a much larger global one as time goes by.

What we have to offer you? At the least, we can share with you our dream and enthusiasm
and experience here. We can sell you a plot of some size on the farm for your own use. We can even
design and build for you a low-impact, environmentally friendly home for your full or part-time
enjoyment and personal refuge.  Simply by buying a lot, or even a totally different property you
will also be supporting the "Farm" and our projects and for doing so you will be welcome to hike or
horseback ride the miles of trails we are putting in or sling your hammock and take a break or a
lunch or spend the night in one of several equipped, palm-thatched, "palapa" shelters we will be
building around the property for just that purpose. You can plant your own garden or we can help.
You will also be welcome to join our community garden project which, by the way, will be 100%
organic in less than 2 years. If gardening isn´t your thing then we will share with you our organic
produce at cost and help you plant low - virtually no maintenance plants and trees around your
house so all you pretty much have to do is show up and enjoy.

As a community member/parcel-owner you will also have the opportunity to buy shares in the
overall farm´s operations. If we are successful in acquiring the second 340 acre parcel, we may
incorporate that one so that each buyer gets his/her personal lot
plus ownership shares and voting
rights in the total acreage. We have yet to decide on that alternative for the first 255 acres but lot
owners will own their parcels outright and except for a few basic ground rules (CC & R´s) will be
free to enjoy and do as they see fit with their private property. Much more info as we develop the
MayaNeem.org Site in the next few weeks. Thanks for your interest and patience! We of course
welcome any comments, suggestions, and/ or inquiries. There´s so much more we can do for you and
that we can do together but let´s simply start here and see where it leads, shall we?
