Various stages of clearing of
pasture, rocks and boulders.

Tilapa/Aquaclulture area will
measure approximately 85
meters deep by 140 meters wide.

We may widen that area to plant
Neem trees and cash crops
Photo left, Center, a slow-growing Oak tree, one of the center
pieces of the ranch. We will clear around it but it will always
remain protected and respected  as reflective of our goals and
inspiration for the sum of our very much still developing
interdependent projects
Arriving from the highway
and ranch entry, the main
house is on the right
behind the rapidly growing
Neem trees and the
Aquaculture project will be
on the left behind the
ancient stone that forms or
division walls or "Albaradas"
The eastern limit (for now!) of
the Tilapia area is marked by
the post in these two larger
photos and by the trees about 90
meters towards the Gulf of
Mexico and Cuba Our project
lies about 10 miles from the sea
The soil is turning out so well
and clear of stone, the farter
east we go we are now planning
to put our vermiculture
(Earthworm) operations along
side of this first batch of tanks.
We have plenty of space and
with the infrastructure in place,
and producing our own food, we
are already speaking with
several more investors interested
in adding at least another 16
tanks.... Timing is great in terms
of availability and growing
demand with no end in sight.
Back Soon as we continue developing the project and these pages.   For more

The photos above will have much more meaning
and impact once the new tanks, plumbing,
holding tanks and all extensive related
equipment is in place and functioning.
Meantime, let´s have a look below at the
soon-to-be-moved equipment as it is currently
being dismantled and readied for the move.
Left, the last full, 12 meter tank waiting for harvest and dis-assembly. Other tanks and their bases
in various stages of dis-assembly. The bases are sloped toward the center at approximately 15°.
There is a 6" PVC pipe that connects to a 90° elbow under the base which connects to a small tank
for draining up to four tanks (See red tank, 2nd from left above or below). The floor of the drainage
tank is lower than the lowest point in any given Tilapia tank so that  when one of the 4 PVC pipes is
removed from the floor of the drainage tank, the Tilapia tank begins to empty very rapidly sucking
with the gravity-fed out-going water, all of the solid waste which has accumulated at the bottom of
the tank since it´s last cleaning. Each Tilapia tank is drained 10% , 2 times per day. As the red drain
tank fills the water from the Tilapia tank being cleaned is carried off to a larger holding and
separating tank nearby. Liquid "waste" (Actually extremely nutrient rich, organic, liquid fertilizer!)
is diverted to the farm´s drip irrigation system which with this size operation can service up to 110
acres. Considerable solid waste is collected every 8-10 days for composting or direct application as yet
another form of highly nutrient rich fertilizer. Because the system relies on gravity, there are no
"moving parts, nothing to break and no machines to run up your electrical bills! Fantastic
