To the right, the main ranch entrance
from the Caratera Panaba- Yalsihon.
The ranch lies just over 16km from
Panaba and just 12km from Yalsihon.
The main house and facilities lie 1km
inside from this entrance. The
entrance to the parcels lies .5km from
the highway entrance

About 150 meters in from the highway
is the arch where the L- shaped ranch
actually begins. In this view,
everything on the right side belongs to
Rancho Santa Cruz....

Just inside the arch, the road
continues another 250 meters to a
wooden set of gates from which point
the land on both sides of the road
belongs to Santa Cruz. It is to the left
of these existing gates that the new
road begins paralleling the neighbor´s
land and creating a forest zone
between the existing entrance road
and the neighboring ranch.

Here to the right and just inside the
wooden gates the road curves and
continues another 250-300 meters to
the main house and corrals. To get a
better perspective of the forested area
for the parcels and the land they will
overlook, we will next switch our
perspective and move to the main
house looking back toward the entry
road and highway.

Looking back towards the entrance and
wooden gates one sees, in the distance,
on the right, at the distant edge of the
field, a band of forest which curves
around the property line until it
reaches the main house and out
buildings. This arch of forest extends
approximately .65km and averages
between 20 and 80 meters in depth.

The semi-circular area bordered by the
forested area where the parcels will be
located is between  5-6 hectares.
We have already planted seedlings for
approximately 1500 Neem Trees for
this section which will be planted this
next May along with the installation of
a drip irrigation system to support
them in their first year.

Much of the forested area of this and
surrounding farms has been preserved
and as such, rainfall in this area is
substantial and even more
consistant/predictable than in areas
even just a relatively short distance
away. Part of our project to reforest
this and other ranches is to increase
this naturally occurring abundance of
rainfall thus reducing demand upon
the aqua fir.

We will maintain the existing natural
forests, primarily around the 4km+
perimeter of the rancho while planting
10,000 - 20,000 additional trees per
year. Irrigation facilities already in
place will allow us to plant year round
as funds permit. Deep-well  can also be
operated using solar -powered  pumps
which, in addition to wind-mills, are
part of our   near-term planning.

Here on the opposite side of the main
entrance road is visible the
high-tension wire and transformer
which will support the well (already
drilled and ready for it´s pump) which
will irrigate the initial  40 hectares of
the rancho (likely including the
parcels) starting at the entrance, just
past the arch.

Here the forest arch arrives to the
edge of the garden of the main house.
The entry road at this point is very
near the fields and large tree in the
mid-picture. Our concept is to
maximize green-space, and privacy,
while minimizing costs when possible
by sharing expenses for such things as
optional electrical and irrigation
installation, the use of natural stone
available in abundance on the ranch,
and by coordinating construction
efforts so that our contractors can
afford to give each client a better price
because we are building in volume and
with natural materials when possible.

Below are two examples of
solar-powered structures, nearby at
our friend´s farm at
Ek Balam,  made
from abundant natural stone

Main garden, bodega, and house
There you have the overview and some few details to consider albeit a bit of a challenge for us to
convey with this limited or perhaps better said, with our own personal limitations with this medium
but let us try, if you will and we appreciate your patience........

Below just a few shots of our surveying process and to give you an idea of the natural beauty that
exists here. These photos were taken along the property line with our neighbor before the new
entrance road was begun and along which it will run........
